Why doesn't God fix the world problems?
Humans...
We make the mistakes. We carry our faults. We hate, we yell, we scream. We push and shove away. We curse each other. Even saying "you can't do it. there's no way." It's still cursing. Still showing your hate. We take what we want and say what we want. We make sure we have enough first before giving to others. We fight all the time and we feel sorry for ourselves even though the world is crashing all around us.
How can we, imperfect beings, so broken and slothful, ever demand so much from others? We don't have the right to just take and take...but rarely give a dime and step out in good faith.
We cry and ask "Where is God? Why won't He listen? Why doesn't he do something? And why does he let all this stuff go on?"
The truth is...We pushed him away. We keep pushing him away and demand our way and then we wonder why he's gone. Why he's left us to our pain.
I had a question asked to me once. I was asked what else can our youth at my church building do for God. I answered simply by saying we can step out on the streets. We can preach. I said this because once we had this idea in the past. We wanted to make an "Ark Youth TV" for YouTube so we can post videos and ask people on the streets questions. I liked the idea at the time but i honestly have to say that i wasn't all that ready for it or wasn't "spiritually" ready that is. I never went on the streets the few times it was actually going on. It didn't last long.
once i gave my idea i was asked another question from someone who had experience on the streets. They asked me "OK, so what would you say to someone when you told them 'Jesus loves you' but they shot back with 'If he loves me then why does he allow so much kids at young ages to get raped and murdered? Those kids didn't have a choice but they get punished?'" I honestly didn't exactly know how to answer that question in the first place.
I understood one thing that was wrong with the question but i felt i must not use my own mind to answer the question. The part that was wrong in the first place was the way he approached the stranger by saying "Jesus loves you". Even though this is true, It's not the way i would have approached the person in the first place. But that wasn't the point.
I kept quiet after that and didn't suggest the streets anymore. instead i said we can visit the elderly that live in those retirement buildings and have no family that visits them. The ones that are all alone. but again i was told that they already so something similar by going to elderly that are within the church. i stopped suggesting anything after that. feeling a tab uncomfortable i have to say. i'm not exactly sure what word to use on how i felt. but it wasn't a happy jolly feeling like i wanted to give out more ideas. i figured they would be shot down anyways.
So i just sat there listening to their ideas and plans. I realized that my first idea was shot down about the streets because the person was afraid after being basically shot down in the streets.
His heart must have been in the right place to go out and preach in this way but his approach was not. I only figured this because i myself have gone out on the streets a few times already and i approached differently. Everyone does. That's how we learn.
I understood his fear (if fear was what he had felt at such a strong come back from the stranger). I also have been shot down sometimes and the fear really does creep in sometimes. especially if you are alone on the streets without someone more experienced to help you out.
But after that day i pondered on what i could have answered him to his question. Or more like what i would have answered to the man who gave the strong comeback question. I kept trying to learn more and more and prayed about it more and more.
In the end, this is what i learned.
one... You should not always approach people by saying "Jesus loves you". Even though this is true, it can actually ruin a person rather than help them get to repentance which is what Jesus always always taught the people. Apostle Paul never went out just shouting "HEY!!! JESUS LOVES YOU!!"
(Below is a list of a few scriptures, i didn't want to write out every single one so i only wrote where to find in the bible about the message God always used in the new and old testament about repenting)
The thing people also don't seem to understand is, if you tell God to leave you alone, He will. You have the Authority to let him in your life or not. He will never come into your life if he isn't wanted.
another thing is, you can't have Jesus and the world. So often people want Jesus to protect them and be with them but they don't obey him at all. They say "I let Jesus in my heart this much time ago..." but they still go on sinning and doing what pleases their flesh.
We as sinful, disgraceful, broken, miserable human beings keep pushing him away. We kick him out of our schools. Our lives... everywhere. He will not come where he's not wanted.
If you were or are a parent and you have a rebellious child who loves to keep going out to parties but you don't want them to and constantly try to tell them not to go but they don't listen and keep going and getting drunk and stuff. They sneak out at nights so they can go and even tell you to stop telling them what to do. Eventually, you will just say "Fine, you don't want to listen to me? Then go and live the way you want.". You can't control your rebellious child. They will have to learn to make the mistakes themselves and learn. It doesn't mean you don't care for them or don't constantly pray for them or maybe don't watch over them sneakily from time to time. You still love them and wish they would listen but they don't. You did all you can.
That child can't then come up to you one day and say "How dare you mom/dad not look after me when i was broken. How dare you not protect me from my troubles. Why did you let me go to parties and have these troubles?"
That would be ridiculous right?? You would tell them that you tried but they simply didn't want to listen. You did all you could.
A person pays for their actions eventually, even if that eventually is in hell. See we find this situation to be ridiculous but yet we do the same to God. We tell him to leave us alone and don't listen and obey him and then we dump our troubles on him as if he caused them. God doesn't give you troubles like those but instead he let's you choose what you want to do with your life. He's never forceful (except maybe with Jonah and the fish).
The bigger picture of all of this is that it's not just one or two people who have done this to God, But the whole world has done this. And in doing so, we have let evil strive in our lives and is causes not only us troubles but to our children and our children's children. It happens to the poor, the needy, the homeless and orphans. Why do children become orphans? Most of the time it's because their parents decided to leave them which made trouble on the children. Why do kids get raped? Because other people decided to make wrong decision and this caused others to suffer.
Why doesn't God step in? Because we pushed him away. We don't give him the authority to move in and help. We ourselves don't move in and help.
When God created earth, he gave it to man to rule. To rule over the animals and trees, the fish and bugs. He made us to be his hands and feet and take care of this world... but look what we have done with it... We destroyed it. Not God. Us!
The world he created
doesn't even want him.
Then it wonders where he's at.
It wonders where he went
or if he exists.
How do we expect someone to stay
in a place we don't want him?
We kicked him out of our schools
and out of our lives.
Out of the states,
and out of our hearts.
We don't want to hear him.
We don't want to listen,
We don't want his ways.
But yet he did something
he came anyways,
He came in the flesh
made a body so he can speak
and teach us and show us
that he's always right here.
He came anyways. Even when we pushed him away he kept trying to make a way. So he made himself a body on earth to walk among us but we killed him. He pushed past us when he came to reach out to those who were waiting for him, but they didn't recognize him. The world didn't recognize the one they served. Or the one they thought they served.
We can never start letting God work in our lives or in others if we don't listen to him. If we don't reach out to him. He already gave out his hand to us but we just need to grab it and never let go.
But we do need to let go of our lives so we can once again be the hands and feet of God on earth. So don't go on blaming God. Start searching for him so he can come into you and start working! Don't wait for others to start working first. You need to take a step. God already made the first step when he came down to earth to die for us so we can be saved... now it's your turn to make the next step and repent.
Repent for pushing him away. For trying to take control yourself. For not letting him work, for not letting go of your evil desires just so you can be selfish and satisfy your flesh. Instead ask God to change you from the inside out and give you a new heart. A heart to serve him and to be his hands and feet.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:26
Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:38
Even as we shoved him,
he walked all the more.
Keeping his pace
to fulfill his great role.
He healed and prayed
He gave us new hope.
For those who don't love him,
He loved all the more
From his throne he came down,
from the throne where he shown,
to be with us sinners
and to save our souls.
Give God your love and obedience
Walk with faith through it all.
Not your will but his be done
And he'll carry you home.
Love and Peace everyone. God bless you and thank you for reading!
