You Say That You Know Me (poem) #1

You say that you love Me,
     But you show Me not.

You say that you serve Me,
yet your deeds are not found.

Your heart is far from Me,
     you run far away.

You sing to Me praises,
     But the words don't awake.

You say you feel good
     in My presence each time

But I want to tell you,
     You're living a lie.

In My presence you have never been,
     you never knew Me,
     not now and not then.

You testify your feelings,
But you don't allow me in
     to touch your whole Spirit
     and fill you from within.

How can you love me?
You do evil in my sight
and say "God can't see me, He's not here".

Oh what a lie you live,
     What blasphemy you do!

My fury is burning,
     The cup is overfilling,
     The judgement is coming,

Run and know I am God!

Know I see all,
     The good and the bad.

You can't earn my favor,
     You can't worship one day
     Then live evil the rest.

Repent all of you,
     who sow seeds of evil,
Who say you serve good and not evil
but your hearts are far from Me.

You did not know Me if you sin,

I will say "I knew you not, leave all who practice lawlessness",

You never knew Me
If the world is your home.

Those who know Me don't sin,
for My Spirit is in them.

My yoke is light,
     but your burdens are unbearable.

Turn to Me and I will answer,
Seek Me and you will find.

I will reveal Myself to those
     who come and find Me.

I'm the King of all Kings!
     The Holy of Hollies!
     The Righteous one!
     The one that Judges!
     The One and Only!

Come to Me before it's too late
     so that your ten thousand
     won't face My twenty thousand.

Be wise and repent!
     Be born again!

But it won't be easy
     for a promise I made.

The earth will not know you
     for it knew Me not.

It will despise you
     and tear you to shreds.

But remember this thing,
     do not be afraid
of the one who tears the flesh
but the soul it can't snare.

Fear Me who can do both,
Tear the flesh and condemn the soul

Fear Me and turn all you wicked
     and you shall be saved
     and bear My light yoke.

     Amen!
