God doesn't need you...

The title to this blog might sound crazy to some and for others they might already know this.

But the more i live this life trying and striving to do what the Lord asks of me and wants of me, i realize that God does not need me. Not at all.

When i'm disobedient or thinking I'm better than others, or when i slip a little away from what God wants or even when i do obey Him and strive to do the very very best that i possible can do... The following statement it true and occurs in my mind often.

                                                 "GOD DOESN'T NEED YOU!"

He does not need you to do His will or to obey Him. If you don't obey Him and you turn from Him, He can just give the work that He planned to give to you to someone else. It's that simple.

Let me give you an example:

Let's say you have this job and something about this job doesn't please you. maybe you don't like what they pay you. Maybe it's hard labor and you hate that. Maybe it's the environment that you don't enjoy or the people or the hours or something completely different. And because you don't like this "issue" in your current job, you tell the manager "I QUIT!" and leave that job.

Now do you think that you are so important to that job that the manager will say "OH NO! please don't go! We need you and can't function without you! We will fix this issue because of you!"

In most standard jobs, this will NEVER happen. The manager might be frustrated that they just lost a worker, especially if they are low staffed but for the most part, they will just put out an add and hire someone else to do that same job.
Who knows... That other person might love being there and loves the pay because it's more than what they were making before or love the hours or environment or whatever that "issue" was that you specifically didn't like.

The point is, someone can always fill in your spot. You are not special and the company will not die and go bankrupt because you quit. (unless you funded the company and it's still small and growing then there might be an issue but that's not the point here)

In all reality, God doesn't need any of us at all. If God asks us to obey Him and to do what He wants but we say to God "Nah! How about we do this instead or something else" or "I don't like that". God will give the task He set for you to someone else. He's capable of it.

God can and WILL find another who comes to Him and says "Here I am God. Use me as you please."

You are not essential for the kingdom of God to grow here on earth and in fact you are not special. If you think that God chose you to do His will because you are special or because He found something in you that was worth using and He can't do things without you, then get your head out of the ground because that is not true.

Jesus used a parable that describe what will happen to those who won't bear fruit or obey.

John 15:1-4
"I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the Gardner. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me."

Paul also said to not think you are superior to others.

Romans 11:18-23
"But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root. "Well" you may say "Those branches were broken off to make room for me." Yes, but remember - those branches were broken off because they didn't believe in Christ, and you are there because you do believe. So don't think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen. For if God did not spare the original branches, he won't spare you either. Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off."

Scary words by Paul. But it's true. Paul also says:

Galatians 6:3
"If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important."

Paul used that to state to the Galatians that they shouldn't be proud of their salvation and count themselves higher than others.
Like i said before, you are not special. You were not chosen by God because you were special. The thing that is special in you is Christ that lives in you.

We are not that important and not necessary for God's kingdom. But the beautiful part in all of this is how much God loved us. God is a Righteous and Holy God! He is above all and never below.

God doesn't need you... but He wants you. He wants to use you and wants to save you!

God invites you into salvation and joy with Him for eternity. It's not because of us or what we have done. It's not because we tried to be good and it's not even because we sometimes obey Him.

In fact the only thing we deserve is God's anger and fury and wrath. We deserve Hell! We deserve to die and to never be in the presence of God for as long as we be.

That is what grace is. It's free to those who take it and grab hold of it. If you think you want to accept God and the world, well God is gonna take that grace and give it to someone else. You can't keep your sin and still Love God.

I know we all make mistakes sometimes and we fall all the time. But it's how we get up and walk again that matters. God doesn't punish us for falling but He does punish us for not getting up or just sitting and slacking off when we do fall. He does't want a lazy son or daughter. He doesn't want a lazy worker.

If you think you can take His grace and mercy and trample it, how much more will he trample you in the end?

Don't think that you deserve anything from God because you don't. Not one thing is given to you because you deserve it.
But instead it is given because God is calling you to Himself. He wants to transform you into a new creation. If you are not being transformed by God, then you are not His.

I'm just laying it out plain and simple.
So please humble yourself before God and Die to yourself and your selfish ways. A potter can use the lump of clay he has to make whatever he wants. He can use one piece for a beautiful pot and the other to make a garbage to toss his mess into.

Christianity is crazy sometimes. If you still live in the world and think you are saved and born again. well think again... you are not a Christian. You are just walking around like the dead pretending to put a label on your forehead.

Accept God's grace and salvation and come to Him. He can fill you with more than you can imagine. But first you must humble yourself and come to Him.

God bless you all and let peace and grace be upon you always.
