Careful of your Steps God's child

Everything you do and everything you watch or say or play has an affect on your life.
I can't tell you how many times i have heard "it's just a song" or "everybody does it", "what's so bad about it?" and so on.

I'm telling you this because i know many who play video games or listen to bad music (meaning non-Christian music) who say they are Christians but they think it's fine.

Everything is "fine" if you live for the world or if you compare the things you do to what others do. Then of course you can say "well that person does this... And that person does that... At least i'm not doing this..." those are the worlds thoughts.

"You are what you eat". This also applies to "you are what you do" or "you are what you watch" and so on. Everything we do affects us even if you don't notice it.

Maybe some of you have heard the saying "tell me who your friends are and i will tell you who you are".

Where you are and what you do and what you bring into your life will affect you in a positive way or a negative way. Be careful what you allow in your life. If your focus is God's heart, all that will be in your mind is about God's heart and how to get closer to Him. If you focus on video games, all that will rule your mind is video games and wanting more of it and if you focus on money, all that will be in your mind is money and wanting more money.

Please be aware of your hearts desires. Whatever you put before God is an idol.

1 Corinthians 6:12 says this;
"You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything."

Again i ask you. Please be aware of the things you do and allow in your life. Not everything is beneficial to you even though it might not necessarily be bad.

Take a good look at your life everyday and toss what needs to be tossed and keep what benefits you with your walk with Christ for our lives are not ours once we were saved through repentance and Baptism. We became a new creation in Christ. We live for Him, not for ourselves. If you don't want to live for Him and give everything up for Christ, then you can leave because Christ died so you can be free from sin. Not so you can live how you want and expect blessings and abundance in life.

Well this was my message for today. God bless you my brothers and sisters in Christ. And thank you for reading.
